Setting the Stage for NUH Mission
Nuh was assigned to a society that had deviated greatly from the narrow path. His people denied the unity of God (Tawhid) and worshipped idols while participating in immoral activities. They remained steadfast in their denial in spite of his repeated attempts to lead them back to the worship of Allah. Noah’s purpose was to spread mono beliefs and alert his people to the consequences of their actions.

The Call of Nuh to His People
For many years, Noah said to his people about the significance in giving off idols and worshipping only Allah. Reminding them of God’s mercy and the benefits of virtue, he plead with them to turn from their sins and ask for forgiveness. His message received a warm reception with animosity and mockery. He received ridicule by the unbelievers, who rejected his warnings and referred to him as a madman. Noah persisted in his mission with invincible faith in spite of their rejection, remaining patient and firm.

The Divine Order

Following years of fruitless preaching, Nuh got an aerial revelation by Allah. He was told to construct an ark because the wicked would soon be punished for their unbelief by an enormous flood. A significant moment in Noah’s life and ministry was this command.

As Noah began creating the ark, his people continued to mock him. Unable to understand the seriousness of the situation or the imminence of a coming deluge, they laughed at him. Nuh, however, amassed supplies and built a huge ship out of his unwavering devotion to God’s instruction.

Bringing the Animals and Believers Together
As Noah completed the ark, Allah gave him more instructions about the people that would be inside. In order to ensure that life on Earth would continue after the flood, he was told to bring his family along with a pair of each animal species. A number of Christians decided to support Noah in spite of the continuous scorn as they understood the veracity of his message.

Flooding the Land

When the moment arrived, the rain started to fall and the skies grew gloomy. As Noah’s prophecies came to pass, the ground erupted with water, flooding the land. Now after they were submerged in the seas, the unbelievers who had made fun of Noah learnt their mistake too late. The Earth got rid of filth and unbelief by the flood, which was a divine act of justice.

Painful Truth
Noah urged his son, who had decided to stay with the unbelievers, to board the ark with them as the waters rose. But his son thought he could find refuge on a mountain, so he rejected down the invitation. Seeing his son die in the flood filled Noah’s heart with grief. The present case shows the painful truth.

The Ark and Its Repercussions
When the land ran up, Allah told Noah to get out of the ark. For humanity, this heralded a fresh beginning.

Noah and his family were very grateful for their survival when they stepped out of the ark. Following Noah’s lifelong lessons of monotheism, they were entrusted with reconstructing humanity. In order to give praise to Allah and ask for His direction going forward, Noah constructed an altar.
